I should be doing loads of other things right now, I should ditch LJ forever (and Internet for that matter) and never come back till I'm done with my ginormous heap of homework, but I just can't. Let me pat myself on the back. Good girl and everything. Laziest ever. I need some kind of motivation.

Declare this an emergency
I have to write a very detailed summary of two books 300 pages long each, and I should be done with it by next Monday. fml.
I have to read a quite hefty-looking monograph by Friday and I have at least two tests in Latin on the same day.
And I should, nay, MUST attend all lectures at the university because I'm not ill anymore. I should be glad that I'm not ill at least. Well, I AM NOT.
And I'm getting very, very drunk this Saturday with my friends. Lucky me. Will I be able to do everything in time? It's almost vital for me to be optimistic in this situation but frankly, I'm a bit afraid. I can't fail. I can't let this happen. *Gimme another 10 minutes and I promise I'll get back to studying*.
I think sleeping this week will have to wait. But I kind of enjoyed sleeping for 3 hours last night... Yeah, right.

Funny how time flies
My friend turned 18 two days ago. Strangely, I feel so... proud. Already eighteen...
She's the first one in our little circle of friends to reach that particular age. It's like crossing a certain border - as much as the phrase is trite, she's not a child anymore. At first we were all excited about turning 18 because (yeah, it's a bit juvenile) when you're 18 you can buy alcohol and everything and when you're 17 it's pretty frustrating that you can't.
And now she's so awfully legal. Finally an adult. Damn, I still can't wrap my head around it. I wonder, what it will be like for me? I guess, just like another year, although I will finally be able to stand my ground when I quarrel again with my parents and not be sorry about it.
Happy Birthday, Janie. A little bird told me she still feels like a stupid 15-year old. *giggle all the way*.

A thousand butterflies
It's snowing beautifully outside and I'm insanely happy about that. My room is finally done (minus the furniture), so it's empty save for a spring mattress aka my current sleeping place and my laptop. It's so strangely fascinating to sleep almost on the floor in an empty room. It puts me in a certain mood and more so, my fingers are itching to write something. Hello there, inspiration.
And my dream finally came true - the windowsill in my room is really big and solid so now I can stare at the stars and the snow the whole night. I missed this kind of solitude.

... this could be so perfect
This song is currently stuck in my head and has no intention of getting out:
<lj-embed id="9" />

What song is currently stuck in your head?

I've seen it 4 times already (WOAH! contributed 25 bucks to the gross, lol). The thing is, I've seen the movie only when I've been skipping classes this week (I'm lazy, I'm doing a bad job at catching up, so...yeah. that's my excuse). I've seen it twice with my friends and twice alone. And every friggin' single time I wanted to strangle the fangirls sitting beside me. I've never felt that violent, lmao! Such a nice change.
But I've seen 'A Christmas Carol' too and it's sooo good. Especially in 3D and when 'Alice in Wonderland' trailer plays before it. Come, come March 4th! By the way, 'Remember Me' comes out March 12th, so... yeah. My 18th birthday gonna be awesome xD. I'm even thinking of buying a ticket to a 30stm concert (which is gonna be RIGHT on my birthday, lol). I'll just have to keep silent about it so my Mom won't freak out. She has yet to recover from the last one, because I'm ill still. Gah. Will there ever be a time when I'm not ill? brb banging my head on the wall.

I need something to read. Something... difficult, uncompromising and fascinating. I know I need to read loads of books about Velázquez, Russian art in 14th century and Egyptian art but DAMN right now I don't want to. Recommendations, anyone? *maybe even fanfics*

Has anyone heard of Cold War Kids? They are so weirdly wonderful. I love 'em already.
<lj-embed id="5" />
Alrighty. I already need to run - loads of things to do(.
